Top 5 College Football Quarterbacks Of The Last 30 Years


I decided to mix up my Top 5 lists by starting with #1 and working down.  I will continue to use this format from now on.  So...here we go.  The Top 5 college quarterbacks of the last 30 years.

1.  Tommie Frazier

Nebraska 1992-95. While at the University of Nebraska Tommie Frazier won back-to-back national championships (1994,1995), finished second in the 1995 Heisman Trophy voting, and had a 33-3 record as a starter. Tommie is the only player in history to be named MVP of 3 national championship games despite one of those games being a loss.

2.  Matt Leinart

USC 2003-05. Matt Leinart also won back-to-back national championships (2003,2004) and won the 2004 Heisman Trophy. Matt finished with a 37-2 record as a starter.

3.  Tim Tebow

Florida 2006-09. Tim Tebow won 2 national championsips (2006,2008), and won the 2007 Heisman Trophy as a sophmore. Tim finished with a 35-6 record as a starter.

4.  Doug Flutie

Boston College 1981-84. Doug Flutie is best known for his Hail Mary pass completion against Miami for the win in 1984 but he also set the NCAA record for passing yards in his career (10,579). He finished his career by winning the 1984 Heisman Trophy.

5.  Danny Wuerffel

Florida 1993-96. Danny Wuerffel holds the record for best passer rating in history(163.56). In 1996 he won both a national championship and the Heisman Trophy.
